COPENHAGEN

Last October, I finally got to visit Copenhagen. It had been on my list for so long, especially after seeing all the Copenhagen Fashion Week content, year after year. There is still so much to see but the mini trip I had was so special. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the city. See below for some recommendations.

STAY: Hotel Sanders was so nice and it was a lovely stay. The hotel gave a Soho House vibe, with its dim lighting and its young crowd. Try not to overpack, the room we stayed in was quite cozy.

EAT:

SHOP:

  • Pico has hands down the best hair accessories. I purchased way too many hair clips and headbands but they made the perfect gift for friends and family when I came home.

SEE:

  • Tivoli Garden is one of the world’s olden amusement parks located in the middle of Copenhagen. The amusement park served as inspiration for Walt Disney. It’s said that after visiting, he took notes from his travels and four years later opened Disneyland. One of the rides is very similar to the “it’s a small world” ride. The park was so fun when we went because it was decorated for Halloween.

  • The Little Mermaid Statue is one of Copenhagen’s iconic sculptures that bring crowds out to see it. It happens to be much smaller in person but absolutely beautiful. Especially the walk to it was filled with a beautiful fountain, greenery, and exquisite architecture. The bronze statue is over 100 years old. The statue was given to the city of Copenhagen in 1913.

  • The best way to see the city is from the water. We took a lovely boat ride that took you through the different canals and we were able to see so much more of the city than if we walked. We loved our tour with Hey Captain- highly recommend using them.
