Currently: This Week

This is such a strange time for all of us. It’s weird to think this time will connect us all forever. It’s strange and yet wonderful to see mother nature do it’s work from cleaner air in Los Angeles to swans floating around Venice. I am fortunate enough to be quarantining with most of my family members (one of my sisters is still in Los Angeles :))

I am very thankful for my family during all of this both physically and emotionally. As many people are, I am checking in with friends all over the country and some friends across Europe and Australia. I prefer to chat on the phone, DM or text. Not a huge fan of the zoom calls. With nowhere to go, I thought there is all this time on my hands to invest in my blog and dedicate my energy towards something I love.

So three things I have learned thus far:

1. There is a simple joy from baking and organizing and it can be a form of therapy.

2. Disney movies are the answer to everything.

3. Candy crush is genuinely addictive.

Currently:

Talking to: Over the past few weeks, I have reconnected with camp friends who I have missed/lost touch with over the years. I love that you can pick up where you left off, and there is no pressure to give an excuse as to where you have been or mention how much time has passed. You can be there for each other, no questions asked.

Cooking: Jennifer Fisher Cinnamon Roll Bread and Eye Swoon's One-Pan Roast Chicken from Jason Wu

Reading: Jessica Simpson autobiography, Open Book (for book club) and The Bankers Wife (for fun)

Watching:

Shopping: For on my Birthday Wishlist. It's filled with layered necklaces from Aureum Collective and Electric Picks, loungewear sets from Bandier, and a few splurge items from Violet Grey (my favorite beauty store).

Eyeing: Jenni Kayne Cashmere Cardigan

Thinking: I might need a new rug in my bedroom at home if I am going to be here for a few more weeks or dare say months.

Working on: More blog posts and my first newsletter! Four years later and I am finally getting around to it.

Quote of the Week: "There are far better things ahead, than any we leave behind." - C.S. Lewis

I hope you all are staying safe and healthy.
